During a lunch interview with Global News' Laura Stone, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie Gregoire had this to say when asked about Trudeau denying there was ever an extramarital affair: “Ask if whatever happened in our lives – I’m not saying it did or didn’t – as if we would answer that.”. Like families around the world, the Trudeaus self-isolated together at their official Rideau Cottage residence in Ottowa, where the family lived, played and worked under the same roof.
For a while the family made things work, even with 'dad' being the nation's leader and working up to 15 hours each day.
Montreal, Canada: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will receive the Covid-19 shot in public once those in his age group are in line to be vaccinated, he said in an interview broadcast Sunday.
But when Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau returned from a speaking engagement in London and began noticing symptoms of COVID-19, things changed quickly.
Gregoire-Trudeau was struck down with 'headaches, body aches everywhere, indigestion, nausea' and other symptoms of the virus after contracting it and testing positive in March.
It left her feeling exhausted and ill, but life in the family home had to go on.
'My husband worked from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm in his office, then I was the one with the children, so I had to be extremely careful,' she told Radio-Canada on Tuesday.
'I was alone with the children, I had to distance myself, I had gloves, a mask and everything, but it was not easy.'
Gregoire-Trudeau had to care for their three children while still working her hardest to social distance and not infect them – or her husband, the Canadian Prime Minister – with the virus.

Fortunately, she was able to keep her distance and has since recovered from her brush with the virus, but admits it was a trying situation.
'I laugh but it is not funny. I think that in all families, we try to cope, then there's the social distancing,' she revealed.
'But after that, I got back on my feet. And then the children, I think they use up a lot of our energy.'
Since recovering, Gregoire-Trudeau has also noticed that her sense of taste and smell, which she temporarily lost while ill, are 'not like it was before'.
The family have now relocated to their Quebec residence, where they're understood to be continuing self-isolation as Canada works hard to keep case rates low as the neighbouring US battles astronomical numbers.
Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, is asking his opposition to finally admit that climate change is real, and has urged locals to prepare for what’s after the pandemic.
'While we are fighting to end the pandemic... we must prepare for what comes after,' he said during his speech.
During a virtual convention for the Liberal party, Trudeau delivered a speech where he asserted that the Liberals are the 'only ones with a real plan to tackle climate change and pass on a cleaner and more prosperous future.'

His speech has come at a time when the country is abuzz with rumours of an electoral campaign in the next few months.

He also attacked his main opposition party, the Conservatives, by claiming they 'refuse to admit climate change is real'.

His accusation comes after a majority of Conservative delegates rejected a resolution recognising the danger posed by climate change.
